I am a Minnesota born guy, from near Minneapolis. I grew up in a bucolic suburban community. I was blessed to live on a lovely property of 12 acres and walking distance from a nice sized lake.
I moved to the Phildelphia area in 1991 just after college. I received a degree in Social Work and decided to work with foster children at a Christian agency. In 2000, I received my Master in Social Administration from Temple University. I now am a supervisor in a foster care agency.
I have been married since 1998 to my lovely wife Mary. In 2008 our son entered our family picture and came to reside with us from India. He was born in 2006. We have been very blessed to be given him as our son.
I enjoy music of all kinds. I play guitar and enjoy singing, even played in a duo for a couple years playing country and bluegrass standards. I also wrote music reviews and interviewed musicians as a hobby a few years. It was enjoyable getting free music and talking to people like Buddy Miller and Bill Malonee.
I also am a big sports fan. And yes, it has to be a Minnesota based team. So I enjoy the Vikings, Twins, Timberwolves and Gophers. No I have not been able to translate my interest in sports to Philadelphia teams.
I am reformed in my Christian thinking. I attend New Life Presbyterian Church (PCA) and have done so since 1992. I grew up in a Christian family and became a Christian at a young age, but made a decided committment to follow Jesus in High School. I volunteer at my church with our Food Cupboard ministry. It is something our family does together.
